Bridging religious, cultural, legal, and economic divides; World
Democracy Congress aims to advance the cause of global democracy.
We believe that freedom and democracy are mankind's indelible right
and must therefore be afforded to all humanity.
We believe that majority of the people, regardless of their geographical,
religious, sex, or ethnic disposition must be able to choose their form of
government through democratically elected representatives.
Accordingly, we believe that pillars of the democratic process must
vigorously defended, as should their violators be fiercely opposed.
The right to self determination, civil liberties, tolerance, respect for
human rights and the rule of law, peaceful coexistence, access to a free
market, abolishment of torture, fair labor practices, freedom of
assembly and expression are among the most basic pillars of an
enduring democracy.
World Democracy Congress mission includes enabling, empowering,
and facilitating these democratic forces in the global arena. Similarly,
we work to galvanize opposition to brutal, oppressive, destructive, and
systematically corrupt institutions or governments who foster pervasive
inequality, discrimination, intolerance, and breed policies that destroy
democracy and freedom.
